Vectavir 1% tube cream 2 g

Vectavir cream contains Penciclovir, indicated for the treatment of herpes labialis.

Active ingredient

Penciclovir.

Excipients

Solid paraffin, liquid paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, cetomacrogol 1000, purified water.

Directions for use

Adults (including the elderly) and children over 12 years of age: Apply at approximately 2-hour intervals throughout the day. Treatment, which should be continued for 4 days, should be started as soon as possible, at the first sign of infection. However, even in patients starting therapy later, the product has been shown to be effective in accelerating wound healing, reducing wound-related pain, and shortening viral shedding time.

Pediatric population. Children (under 12 years of age): The use of the product is not recommended in children under 12 years of age due to the lack of data on safety and/or efficacy.

The medicine should be applied, in an amount appropriate to the size of the area to be treated, with a clean finger or with a disposable applicator that must be discarded after use.
