Okidol Orosoluble Sachets is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing ketoprofen 80 mg of lysine salt, indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of acute pain of mild to moderate intensity.
The orosoluble sachet formulation is designed to dissolve quickly on the tongue, without the need for water. Absorption is rapid, allowing for an onset of action within about 3 minutes of ingestion.
It is indicated for headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, and muscle pain resulting from minor sprains or strains. Lime flavor. Can be used in adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over.
Directions for use
Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over: 1 sachet as a single dose, to be repeated up to 2 times a day as needed.
The contents of the sachet can be placed directly on the tongue: it dissolves in saliva and can be taken without water.
Elderly people and patients with hepatic or renal impairment should use the lowest dose.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Ingredients
Ketoprofen lysine salt 80 mg (corresponding to 50 mg of ketoprofen), povidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, mannitol, xylitol, talc, lime flavoring, lemon flavoring, frescofort flavoring.
Use during pregnancy and in children
Okidol is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
During other periods of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, it should be used only if strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Do not use in individuals under 16 years of age.
Warnings and contraindications
Do not use if allergic to ketoprofen, other NSAIDs, or any of the excipients.
It is contraindicated in cases of bronchial asthma, severe heart failure, gastritis, current or previous peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, severe liver or kidney failure, coagulation disorders, Leukopenia or thrombocytopenia.
Do not use in combination with high doses of diuretics.
If you experience drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or seizures after taking Okidol, do not drive or operate machinery.
If you experience persistent pain or worsening symptoms, consult your doctor.
